Events
2024:
After a busy summer, we still wanted to have a few evenings in Luskville, before the cold weather sets in. If the sky is clear, please join us on one of the following evenings:
- Friday, September 27 — Go!
- Saturday, September 28
- Friday, October 5
- Saturday, October 6
Observing should begin around 8:00 p.m. and run until about 11:00 p.m. (subject to visitor turnout). Saturn should be visible on these evenings and is always a highlight!
Thank you for supporting our observing activities in Luskville and our planetarium shows across the region. Please refer to our Facebook page or our Twitter feed for a “Go” or “No Go” announcement on the afternoon of the event. That way you’ll know when clouds or rain are likely, before heading out.
Don’t forget to take a look at the list of tips below to make the most out of your evening with us!
- You may wish to bring a folding chair and a flashlight (to navigate the path to the viewing area).
- Feel free to bring a pair of binoculars, if you have them.
- Waterproof / water-resistant shoes are highly recommended, as the grass tends to collect evening dew.
- Evenings can get chilly, so you might want to consider a jacket.
- Don’t forget to put on some bug spray!
- To protect against the spread of alien invasive species, please ensure your footwear is not heavily soiled before visiting our site.
