Observing in Luskville
Over the summer months, we will be putting most of our energy into our popup exhibit. But we can’t miss the Perseids! Watch this space for updates on our activities on the peak evenings of August 12 and 13.
We will get back to our program of regular Luskville observing nights in September an October. Exact dates to follow.
Thank you for supporting our observing activities in Luskville and our planetarium shows across the region. Please refer to our Facebook page or our Twitter feed for a “Go” or “No Go”. That way you’ll know when clouds or rain are likely.
In order to get the most out of our future viewing events, take a look at the list of tips below!
- You may wish to bring a folding chair and a flashlight (to navigate the path to the viewing area).
- Feel free to bring a pair of binoculars, if you have them.
- Waterproof / water-resistant shoes are highly recommended, as the grass tends to collect evening dew.
- Evenings can get chilly, so you might want to consider a jacket.
- Don’t forget to put on some bug spray!
- To protect against the spread of alien invasive species, please ensure your footwear is not heavily soiled before visiting our site.
